Blackened steel fireplace, Fell House
A folded fireplace surround in blackened steel, built around an existing stove and fitted in one day.
The brief
The surround had to wrap an existing stove and flue with no visible fixings and no gap wider than a coin.
Our solution
We scanned the chimney breast, folded the surround from three plates and fixed it to a hidden steel frame set into the wall.
