Perforated screen, Northbank Arts Centre
148 laser-cut panels whose perforation follows the architects’ daylight study.
The brief
The foyer needed light in winter and shade in summer, with a pattern that reads as one image across 148 separate panels.
Our solution
We translated the daylight study into a gradient of six hole sizes, cut a full-size prototype for approval and numbered every panel for installation in sequence.
