A brushed stainless spiral stair with oak treads, rising through a double-height library.

The brief

The stair had to pass through a finished bookcase opening without touching the shelves and without any vibration.

Our solution

A central column in sections, tread brackets bolted on site and a continuous stainless stringer rolled in our workshop for stiffness.
