Cantilevered stair, Marsh House
A folded plate stair that seems to grow out of a board-formed concrete wall.
The brief
The concrete wall was poured months before the stair arrived. Every fixing had to be cast in exactly, without any visible plates on the finished surface.
Our solution
We supplied cast-in brackets with a setting template before the pour. The treads were folded from single plates, welded to hidden blades and slid onto the brackets on site in one morning.
